Same-Day Service Most Days Open 7 AM to 11 PM, Seven Days

Book Garage Door Service in Minneapolis and the Twin Cities

Call (651) 888-8270 or send the form below. Tell us what the door is doing and which city you are in; we call back during business hours with the typical range and the next open window. The exact price comes in writing at the door, before any work starts.

Three things make the call faster: the size of the door (a 9x7 single or a 16x7 double), what happened (a loud bang and the door will not lift, the door hanging crooked, the opener hums and stops, the bottom seal frozen to the slab), and the brand on the opener if you can see it (LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman). A photo of the door from inside the garage, texted after we call, helps the technician load the right springs.

Car trapped or door stuck open? Call instead of the form. A door that will not close leaves the house open, and a car behind a broken spring cannot wait for an email reply. The phone is answered 7 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week.

What happens after you send the form

  1. 01We read it. The form lands in the office inbox at info@topteamgaragedoor.com with your name, phone, address, the service you picked and your notes.
  2. 02We call back during business hours. That is 7 AM to 11 PM, seven days a week. On the call you get the typical range for the repair and the next window we can offer in your city.
  3. 03The technician writes the price at the door. Parts and labor on one sheet, before any work. If a second problem turns up, it gets a second written number and your yes or no.
  4. 04The door is tested before we leave. Balanced by hand, opener force and limits set, the photo-eye safety reverse checked.

How scheduling works by distance

Inside the metro, from Minneapolis and St. Paul out to Plymouth, Woodbury, Lakeville and Blaine, same-day service is available most days and calls with a car trapped or a door stuck open are scheduled first. In the regional towns, St. Cloud, Rochester, Mankato and Eau Claire, we schedule a day rather than promise the same afternoon, and we say so on the call. We do not give arrival-time guarantees on this page or on the phone; we give you a window and we keep it. The complete list is on the service areas page, and the services page lists all 21 services, including commercial overhead doors.

Winter calls

The busiest mornings of the year are the first hard freezes. Cold makes spring steel brittle, so a spring with 10,000 cycles on it snaps at the first opening of a subzero day. Meltwater freezes the bottom seal to the slab, and an opener that keeps pulling against it tears the seal or strips its gear. Grease thickens and photo-eye lenses fog. Before you call: pull the emergency release cord only if the door is fully closed, never run the opener repeatedly against a frozen door, and do not try to lift a door with a broken spring by hand. Two guides cover the safe steps: garage door frozen shut and garage door will not open in the cold. For a spring that just broke, read what to do and what not to do, then call.

Request your city. If your town is within 90 miles of Minneapolis and is not on the site yet, write the city in the notes of the form above or say it on the phone. New pages are added for the communities we actually work in, and you can read how the service-area model works, ask about financing on a new door, or check where our reviews live before you book.
