The written quote the technician hands you is the price. The ranges on this website are typical Minneapolis ranges, not offers. Work is scheduled within 90 miles of Minneapolis, paid as stated on the invoice, and covered by the warranty printed on that invoice. Minnesota law applies.
These terms cover the website topteamgaragedoor.com and the work Top Team Garage Door does for you. Using the site or booking a job means you accept them.
Who we are and what these terms cover
Top Team Garage Door is the trade name of Top Team Garage Door, a Minnesota company owned by David Gordon, with its office at 1710 Douglas Drive N, Unit 226C, Golden Valley, MN 55422. We hold a City of Minneapolis Residential Specialty Contractor license for garage doors and openers and are bonded and insured. These terms apply to the website, to phone and form bookings, and to every repair, installation and service call we perform for residential and commercial customers. If a signed contract for a larger job says something different, the signed contract wins for that job.
Estimates are written quotes; website prices are typical ranges
Every job starts with a written quote from the technician who inspected the door. The quote lists the parts, the labor, any permit the city requires and the total, and no work starts until you approve it. If the repair uncovers a second problem (a worn lift cable found while replacing a torsion spring, a bent track behind a broken roller), that problem gets its own written number and you can decline it. A quote is for the door and the conditions the technician inspected; if you change the scope, the quote changes on paper before the change is done.
Service area, scheduling and your part
We work within about 90 miles of Minneapolis, in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, seven days a week from 7 AM to 11 PM. Same-day service is available most days in the Twin Cities metro; calls with a car trapped or a door stuck open are scheduled first, and regional towns such as St. Cloud, Mankato, Rochester and Eau Claire are scheduled by the day. A scheduling window is our best plan, not a guarantee of an arrival minute: snow, road closures and an earlier job that turns out larger can move it, and we call when that happens. If you need to cancel or move a visit, please call as early as you can so the slot can go to someone else. If the technician arrives at the agreed window and cannot get to the door (no one home, garage inaccessible), we may charge for the trip as stated when you booked.
Your responsibilities
Payment
Repairs and service calls are due when the work is done, by the methods stated on your invoice. New doors and larger installations may require a deposit when the door is ordered, stated on the quote, with the balance due at completion. Financing is available on new insulated doors and openers through a third-party provider; the provider's agreement, not these terms, governs the rate, the term and the payments, and we do not make credit decisions. Prices on the invoice include the parts and labor listed; sales tax is charged where Minnesota or Wisconsin law requires it. Unpaid balances may carry the late charges and collection costs the law allows, and parts remain our property until they are paid for.
Warranty: as stated on your invoice
The warranty on your job is the one printed on your invoice, and it covers the parts and workmanship listed there for the period stated. Manufacturer warranties on doors, openers and springs pass through to you on the manufacturer's terms, and we help you use them. Ask the technician about the warranty on your job before you approve the quote; it is part of the written number.
Limitation of liability, in plain words
We are responsible for the work we do and the parts we install, and we carry insurance for that reason. We are not responsible for problems we did not cause and were not hired to fix, for damage that existed before our visit, or for the consequences of ignoring a written recommendation. Except where Minnesota law says otherwise, our liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid for that job, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as a missed workday, a vehicle you could not get out of the garage before we arrived, or the contents of a garage. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that Minnesota consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Using the website, and where to go next
The guides, price tables and service pages on this site are general information about garage doors in Minnesota, written from our own experience and from research current at the date shown on each page. They are not advice about your specific door, which the technician gives at the door, and they are not an offer at a stated price. Do not attempt spring, cable or drum work yourself on the basis of anything you read here; those parts are under high tension and the guides say so. We try to keep the site accurate and working, but we do not promise it is free of errors or interruptions, and we may change it at any time. Links to Google, Facebook, Yelp, the Better Business Bureau and other sites take you to services we do not control. The words, photographs and layout of this site belong to Top Team Garage Door and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
Book through the contact page or call. The services page lists all 21 services, from spring repair and opener repair to new door installation; the service areas page covers the 58 communities from Minneapolis and St. Paul to Rochester; financing explains what can be financed; and the guides on choosing a garage door company and the spring bait-and-switch explain why the written quote matters.
Governing law, disputes and changes
These terms and every job we do are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a dispute cannot be settled by talking to us first, which we ask you to try by calling (651) 888-8270 or emailing info@topteamgaragedoor.com, it will be heard in the state or federal courts serving Hennepin County, Minnesota, unless the law requires a different venue for a consumer claim. We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page changes when we do, and the version in force when you booked applies to that job. The privacy policy explains what we do with the information you send us.
